Regular Season Round 9: Karpos Sokoli - Strumica 87-68

Leader Karpos Sokoli delivered the eighth victory. This time they crushed 7th ranked Strumica (2-6) 87-68 in Skopje. Strumica was ahead by 7 points at the halftime before a 54-28 second half run of Karpos Sokoli. They outrebounded Strumica 41-29 including a 15-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a good game for Serbian guard Marko Boltic (193-87, agency: 011 Sports) who led his team to a victory with 15 points and 7 rebounds. Russian-Israeli power forward Anton Kazarnovski (205-85) contributed with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Four Karpos Sokoli players scored in double figures. Serbian forward Milos Andrejevic (198-89) answered with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds and the former international center Zlatko Gocevski (205-82, agency: Interperformances) added 14 points in the effort for Strumica. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Karpos Sokoli have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place with 8-1 record. Strumica lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with six games lost. Karpos Sokoli will play against Kumanovo 2009 (#5) on the road in the next round. Strumica will play against Best Gevgelija and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
