Regular Season Round 11: Itzehoe - Rist Wedel 68-65

There was no surprise when 11th ranked SC Rist Wedel (2-9) was edged on the road by seventh ranked Itzehoe (6-5) 68-65 on Sunday. However just three-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Itzehoe dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to SC Rist Wedel's 24. The game was dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was center Charles Bronson (208-83, college: Pikeville) who scored 17 points and 9 rebounds. Guard Courtney Belger (187-89, college: Quincy) chipped in 15 points and 8 assists. Guard Isaac Gordon (196-88, college: UTEP) produced 27 points and 8 rebounds and forward Amir Carraway (198-91, college: Chico St.) added 14 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Itzehoe moved-up to fifth place in North, which they share with Bochum and Rostock. SC Rist Wedel lost eighth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh position with nine games lost. Itzehoe will face Rostock (#6) at home in the next round. SC Rist Wedel will play against Recklinghausen (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
