The game in Talje was quite interesting. 4th placed Koping (6-4) played at the court of fifth ranked Talje Knights (7-3). Talje Knights managed to secure a 9-point victory 68-59 on Wednesday. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 68-59. Talje Knights forced 19 Koping turnovers. Forward Erik Johansson (195-96) stepped up and scored 28 points and 6 rebounds for the winners and power forward Michiel Petersen (202-94) chipped in 16 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). At the losing side American guard Ronnie Boggs (193-91, college: Jacksonville St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds and Olle Mellstrom (194-93) scored 8 points and 5 rebounds. Talje Knights moved-up to fourth place, which they share with KFUM Central. Newly promoted Koping dropped to the fifth position with four games lost. They share it with Alvik Basket and Boras II. Talje Knights is looking forward to face league's second-placed Eskilstuna at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Koping will play against IK Eos and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
