Regular Season Round 12: Final Genclik - Meliksah 65-76

Everything could happen in Bursa at the game between two tied teams. Both fourteenth ranked Meliksah and 15th ranked Final Genclik had identical 3-8 record. But Final Genclik was not able to use a home court advantage and lost to the opponent from Kayseri 76-65 on Friday night. The guests trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 5-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 76-65. Worth to mention a great performance of American Curtis Kelly (205-88, college: Kansas St., agency: HMS) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 8 rebounds and forward Orcun Okkali (201-87) who added 13 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. Four Meliksah players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American guard Alex Gordon (184-85, college: Vanderbilt, agency: HMS) with 18 points and 9 assists and his fellow American import forward Justin Knox (205-89, college: N.Carolina, agency: Two Points) scored 18 points and 7 rebounds. Final Genclik's coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Meliksah (4-8) moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Gelisim and Socar Petkim. Loser Final Genclik keeps the fifteenth position with nine games lost. They share it with Bandirma Kir.. Meliksah will meet at home Adanaspor (#17) in the next round where they are favorite. Final Genclik will play against Akhisar Bld and hope to secure a win.
