There was a surprise result when sixteenth ranked JSA Bordeaux (5-9) edged at home higher ranked Caen (7-7) 87-84 on Friday. The hosts trailed by 5 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 5-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 87-84. JSA Bordeaux forced 20 Caen turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Caen was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was American Kevin Rogers (206-86, college: Baylor) who scored 22 points and 6 rebounds. Ahmed Doumbia (195-89) chipped in 14 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Five JSA Bordeaux players scored in double figures. JSA Bordeaux will face higher ranked Berck (#14) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
