Very predictable result when sixth ranked ASEFA Estudiantes (7-4) won against 12th ranked Andratx (3-8) in Madrid 69-58 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by ASEFA Estudiantes. Andratx was better in second period 19-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when ASEFA Estudiantes won last quarter 18-8. ASEFA Estudiantes outrebounded Andratx 54-29 including a 27-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. Clara Rodriguez (184-96) orchestrated the victory by scoring 8 points and 18 rebounds. Center Mariana Gonzalez (187-88) contributed with 13 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. ASEFA Estudiantes moved-up to fourth place in Group B, which they share with IF Air Europa and UCAM Jairis. Loser Andratx dropped to the tenth position with eight games lost. ASEFA Estudiantes will face Barcelona (#13) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Andratx will play against Segle XXI and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
