Everything went according to plan when leader L'Hospitalet (11-0) won against at home 5th ranked Castelldefels (5-6) 89-71 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 7-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 89-71. L'Hospitalet dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Castelldefels' 20. They outrebounded Castelldefels 40-27 including 26 on the defensive glass. It was a great shooting night for L'Hospitalet especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 64.3 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Castelldefels' players. The best player for the winners was guard Gabriel Diaz-Morera (196-89) who scored 19 points and 5 rebounds. Guard Edgar San Epifanio (196-87) chipped in 15 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Marc Sese (188-93) produced 22 points and 5 rebounds and guard David Avila (182-95) added 10 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the eleventh consecutive win for L'Hospitalet. They maintain first place in Group C-B with 11-0 record. Loser Castelldefels dropped to the fourth position with six games lost. L'Hospitalet will face Santfeliuenc (#3) in Sant Feliu in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Castelldefels will play at home against Igualada and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
