CBA top team - Xinjiang Flying Tigers (15-2) added another victory to their record on Sunday. This time they beat twelfth ranked Jiangsu Dragons (7-10) in Nanjing 99-93. The guests trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 28-19 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Xinjiang Flying Tigers made 17-of-19 free shots (89.5 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Xinjiang Flying Tigers made 9 blocks. American-Filipino power forward Andray Blatche (211-86) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 17 rebounds and 5 blocks (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winners and international center Qi Zhou (217-96) chipped in 15 points and 13 rebounds. Xinjiang Flying Tigers' coach Qiuping Liu used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American swingman MarShon Brooks (196-89, college: Providence) responded with 33 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international Li Yi (203-85) scored 18 points and 5 assists. Four Xinjiang Flying Tige and five Jiangsu Dragons players scored in double figures. Xinjiang Flying Tige maintains first place with 15-2 record, which they share with Guangsha L. Jiangsu Dragons at the other side dropped to the eleventh position with ten games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Xinjiang Flying Tige is looking forward to face Guandong Tigers (#3) in Dongguan in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Jiangsu Dragons will play on the road against the league's second-placed Zhejiang Guangsha Lions (#2) in Hangzhou and are hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
