Regular Season Round 10: EWE Baskets - Un.Olimpija 75-77

Very significant was Slovenian Un.Olimpija's (#4) just 2-point road victory against one of their biggest challengers German EWE Baskets in Group A 77-75. EWE Baskets cut a 15-point halftime deficit to two at the end of the game. Power forward Sasa Zagorac (205-84, agency: PEPI SPORT) notched 23 points to lead the effort and Serbian Sava Lesic (205-88, agency: Beo Basket) supported him with 18 points and 6 rebounds. Un.Olimpija's coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even 17 points and 5 rebounds by American center Brian Qvale (210-88, college: Montana, agency: Pensack Sports) did not help to save the game for EWE Baskets. American-German forward Dennis Kramer (211-92, college: San Diego, agency: Interperformances) added 16 points for lost side. Four Un.Olimpija and five EWE Baskets players scored in double figures. Un.Olimpija (5-5) moved-up to third place in Group A, which they share with AEK Athens and Hapoel J-M. EWE Baskets at the other side dropped to the fourth position with six games lost.
