Regular Season Round 19: MMCITE Brno - BK Pardubice 76-94

There was no surprise when 11th ranked MMCITE Brno (4-13) was defeated at home by fourth ranked BK Pardubice (12-6) 94-76 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by BK Pardubice. MMCITE Brno managed to win fourth quarter 21-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. BK Pardubice dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to MMCITE Brno's 40. BK Pardubice forced 19 MMCITE Brno turnovers and outrebounded them 38-25 including 27 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for Slovakian Dusan Pandula (196-84) who led his team to a victory scoring 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Point guard Viktor Pulpan (190-96) helped adding 15 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. At the losing side forward Roman Zachrla (200-87) responded with 17 points and 6 rebounds and American center Paul Egwuonwu (206-91, college: Montana St.) scored 11 points and 5 rebounds. Five BK Pardubice and four MMCITE Brno players scored in double figures. BK Pardubice moved-up to third place. Loser MMCITE Brno keeps the eleventh position with 13 games lost. BK Pardubice will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. MMCITE Brno will play against Basketbal Svitavy (#7) and hope to secure a win.
