Regular Season Round 10: Pilipinas Agilas - Hitech 67-71

Date: December 16, 2015
The game in Mindanao was also worth to mention about. Second ranked Thailand Hitech (8-1) played at the court of 6th ranked Filipino Pilipinas Agilas (1-8). Hitech managed to secure a 4-point victory 71-67. The guests were ahead by 6 points but lost the second period ending it with a 3-point deficit before their 25-18 run, which allowed them to win the game. Hitech dominated on the defensive end, holding Pilipinas Agilas to just 4 points in second quarter. American power forward Steve Thomas (204-81, college: Middle Tenn.St.) notched 8 points, 20 rebounds and 8 assists to lead the effort and American-Israeli point guard Freddie Goldstein (178-88, college: S.Alabama) supported him with 27 points. Even a double-double of 26 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists by American forward Arizona Reid (196-86, college: High Point) did not help to save the game for Pilipinas Agilas. His fellow American import center Nakiea Miller (204-79, college: Iona) added 12 points and 19 rebounds for lost side. Pilipinas Agilas' coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Hitech keeps a position of league leader. Pilipinas Agilas lost eighth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with eight games lost. Hitech will have a break next round. Pilipinas Agilas will play at home against Saigon Heat (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
