Regular Season Round 19: J.Hradec - USK Praha 87-65

We should mention about the upset which took place in J.Hradec, where higher ranked USK Praha (8-9) was outleveled in a road game by tenth ranked BK Lions Hradec (6-12) 87-65 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by BK Lions Hradec. USK Praha managed to win second period 26-25. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great evening for American swingman Josh Nofflet (194-88, college: Lee) who led his team to a victory scoring 20 points and 6 rebounds. Center Tomas Voslajer (211-90) helped adding 20 points and 5 rebounds. At the losing side swingman Jaromir Bohacik (197-92) responded with 16 points and swingman Michal Mares (192-92) scored 11 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. BK Lions Hradec maintains tenth place with 6-12 record. Loser USK Praha keeps the fifth position with nine games lost. BK Lions Hradec will meet higher ranked NH Ostrava (#8) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. USK Praha will play against BK Opava and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
