Regular Season Round 14: Olomouc - Sokol Slapnice 85-79

There was no surprise when 9th ranked Sokol Slapnice (3-8) was defeated on the road by third ranked Bball Olomouc (9-5) 85-79 on Friday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Bball Olomouc forced 20 Sokol Slapnice turnovers. Center Jakub Sedlak (209-89) scored 30 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Petr Andres (178-93) chipped in 17 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Bball Olomouc's coach Michal Pekarek used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Radek Hilser (197-81) responded with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds and swingman Ivo Pavlicik (193-93) scored 19 points. Five Sokol Slapnice players scored in double figures. Bball Olomouc maintains third position in Group B with 9-5 record behind leader Sokol Prazky. Sokol Slapnice lost sixth consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth place with eight games lost. Bball Olomouc will face MMCITE Brno 2 (#4) on the road in the next round. Sokol Slapnice will play against SKB Zlin (#5) and hope to win that game.
