Regular Season Round 21: Haneda Vickies - Hitachi Cougars 53-51

Everything could happen in Tokyo at the game between two tied teams. Both ninth ranked Haneda Vickies and 10th ranked Hitachi Cougars had identical 2-16 record. This time Haneda Vickies used a home court advantage and edged the opponent from Hitachinaka 53-51 on Saturday night. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Hitachi Cougars won third quarter 14-10. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a good game for guard LiQuan Luohe (165-91) who led her team to a victory with 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Yuki Morimoto (177-84) contributed with 10 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. The former international forward Reika Takahashi (177-88) answered with 8 points and 12 rebounds and guard Aya Tsurumi (164-92) added 7 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists in the effort for Hitachi Cougars. Hitachi Cougars' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Haneda Vickies maintains ninth place with 3-16 record. Hitachi Cougars lost their third game in a row. They keep the tenth position with 17 games lost. Haneda Vickies will face again Hitachi Cougars (#10) in Hitachinaka in the next round.
