Everything went according to plan in Valencia where third ranked Rivas Promete (9-3) beat 9th ranked Picken Claret (5-7) 56-47. The game without a history. Rivas Promete led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. It was a good game for guard Regina Gomez (173-82, agency: Josep and Nicolas) who led her team to a victory with 16 points and 6 rebounds. Lithuanian power forward Dovile Miliauskaite (187-89, college: Towson, agency: Josep and Nicolas) contributed with 9 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Center Carla Diaz Polo (185-90) replied with 11 points and power forward Patricia Soler (186-94, agency: Regeneracom Sports) added 6 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Picken Claret. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Rivas Promete have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place in Group B, which they share with Sant Adria. Picken Claret lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the ninth position with seven games lost. Rivas Promete's next round opponent will be Almeria (#10) at home and are hoping to win another game. Picken Claret will play against Olimpico 64 in Madrid and hope to win that game.
