Rather predictable result when eighth ranked NH Ostrava (7-11) edged at home 10th ranked BK Lions Hradec (6-13) 82-79 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 3 points after three quarters before their 22-16 charge, which allowed them to win the game. BK Lions Hradec was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. The former international forward Petr Bohacik (205-85) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!) and 15 rebounds. Point guard Adam Ciz (190-91) contributed with 18 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Power forward Stanislav Zuzak (203-80, college: Cal-Irvine) replied with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) and American swingman Josh Nofflet (194-88, college: Lee) added 17 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for BK Lions Hradec. Four BK Lions Hradec players scored in double figures. BK Lions Hradec's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. NH Ostrava moved-up to seventh place, which they share with BK Kolin. Loser BK Lions Hradec keeps the tenth position with 13 games lost. NH Ostrava will face higher ranked BK Opava (#4) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. BK Lions Hradec will play against BK Usti nad Labem (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
