Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Tbilisi: Mgzavrebi (#6) and Olimpi (#5). Mgzavrebi (5-6) won against visiting Olimpi (4-5) 70-66. The hosts were already 11 points ahead at halftime and as many as 13 after three quarters before a 24-15 last quarter charge of Olimpi cut the lead to 70-66 at the end of the game. Mgzavrebi forced 19 Olimpi turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for American center Reggie Murphy (208-91, college: Henderson St.) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 17 rebounds. His fellow American import point guard Kaheem Ransom (185, college: Sam Houston St.) accounted for 18 points, 11 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals for the winning side. International guard Revaz Rogava (191-93) came up with 19 points, 5 assists and 5 steals and American forward Austin Steed (203-88, college: E.Carolina) added 10 points and 14 rebounds respectively for Olimpi in the defeat. Four Olimpi players scored in double figures. Olimpi's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Mgzavrebi moved-up to fifth place. Olimpi at the other side dropped to the sixth position with five games lost. Mgzavrebi will play against Energy Invest (#7) in Rustavi in the next round. Olimpi will play at home against the league's second-placed Kutaisi and hopes to get back on the winning track.
