Regular Season Round 10: Hitech - Pilipinas Agilas 100-66

Date: December 20, 2015
The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Thailand Hitech as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Hitech smashed 6th ranked Filipino Pilipinas Agilas in Bangkok 100-66. The game was mostly controlled by Hitech. Pilipinas Agilas managed to win second period 28-25. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Hitech looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Hitech made 7 blocks. The game was dominated by American players. Power forward Steve Thomas (204-81, college: Middle Tenn.St.) fired a double-double by scoring 24 points and 20 rebounds for the winners. Power forward Christien Charles (216-81, college: Villanova) chipped in a double-double by scoring 19 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Hitech players scored in double figures. Hitech's coach felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Center Nakiea Miller (204-79, college: Iona) produced a double-double by scoring 21 points and 21 rebounds and forward Arizona Reid (196-86, college: High Point) added 28 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Pilipinas Agilas lost eighth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with eight games lost. Pilipinas Agilas will play next round against strong Saigon Heat trying to get back on the winning streak. Hitech will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
