Everything went according to plan when third ranked Real Madrid (10-1) defeated 11th ranked Blusens Monbus (5-7) in Santoago de Comp 79-63. The game was mostly controlled by Real Madrid. Blusens Monbus was better in second period 22-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Blusens Monbus 39-25 including 24 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was Mexican power forward Gustavo Ayon (207-85, college: San Jose St., agency: Duran International) who scored 14 points and 5 rebounds. The former international Felipe Reyes (204-80) chipped in 7 points and 10 rebounds. Real Madrid's coach Pablo Laso used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. At the other side the best for losing team was Belgian guard Tyler Haws (196-91, college: BYU) who recorded 17 points and American-Irish guard Donnie McGrath (193-84, college: Providence) added 11 points respectively. Real Madrid have an impressive ten-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains third position with 10-1 record having just three points less than leader Valencia. Blusens Monbus lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth place with seven games lost. Real Madrid's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Regal FC Barcelona at home and it will be for sure the game of the week. Blusens Monbus will play against UCAM Murcia (#15) and hope to win that game.
