Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both sixth ranked Cassino and 5th ranked Catanzaro had identical 8-5 record. This time Cassino used a home court advantage and outleveled the opponent from Catanzaro 95-67 on Wednesday night. Cassino looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was power forward Luca Ianes (203-80, agency: SPORTlab Agency) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds. Guard Filiberto Dri (190-89) chipped in 15 points and 8 assists. Guard Gianluca Carpanzano (188-95) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds and guard Tomas Di Dio (189-88) added 15 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Cassino maintains sixth position in B with 9-5 record which they share with defeated Catanzaro. Loser Catanzaro dropped to the sixth place with six games lost. Cassino will face higher ranked Palermo (#4) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
