Regular Season Round 14: Fiorentina - Vicenza 61-84

Everything went according to plan in Firenze where sixth ranked Vicenza (8-6) outleveled 12th ranked Fiorentina (5-9) 84-61 on Saturday. Vicenza had a 29-18 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Vicenza especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.0 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was power forward Claudio Nobile (206-82) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points, 19 rebounds and 4 assists. Point guard Marco Pasqualin (178-97) chipped in 13 points and 8 assists. Four Vicenza players scored in double figures. Vicenza's coach felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Tommaso Bianchi (190-93) produced 17 points and 9 rebounds and forward Andrea Marusic (200-89) added 16 points and 4 assists respectively for the hosts. Newly promoted Vicenza maintains sixth position in B with 8-6 record, which they share with Lecco. Fiorentina at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the eleventh place with nine games lost. Vicenza will face higher ranked Bergamo (#3) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Fiorentina will play against Varese Coels. (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
