Regular Season Round 27: Iwate Big Bulls - Kyoto Hannar. 68-75

BJ League top team - Kyoto Hannar. (18-5) added another victory to their record. This time they beat seventh ranked Iwate Big Bulls (11-12) 75-68. The guests were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. Kyoto Hannar. outrebounded Iwate Big Bulls 43-30 including 28 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for American forward Kevin Kotzur (203-89, college: St.Mary's, TX) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 16 rebounds. His fellow American import forward Tyren Johnson (202-88, college: La-Lafayette) helped adding 12 points and 14 rebounds. Four Kyoto Hannar. players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American forward Alandise Harris (198-90, college: Arkansas) with 17 points and 9 rebounds and Nigerian forward Abdullahi Kuso (206-84, college: Tallahassee CC) scored 9 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Kyoto Hannar. maintains first place with 18-5 record, which they share with Hamamatsu P. Iwate Big Bulls at the other side keep the seventh position with 12 games lost. They share it with Gunma. Kyoto Hannar. will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Iwate Big Bulls will play again at home against the league's leader Kyoto Hannar. (#1) and hope to get back on the winning track.
