Regular Season Round 19: Arkadia - Vienna 90-89

The most exciting game of round 19 in the A Bundesliga took place in Traiskirchen. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 3rd placed Vienna (10-9) to seventh ranked Arkadia Lions (9-10) 90-89 on Saturday evening. Vienna was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. It was a great evening for Argentinian-Italian forward Fabricio Vay (207-86, agency: Interperformances) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 39 points (!!!), 20 rebounds and 4 blocks. The former international forward Florian Trmal (199-89, agency: Dynamics Global Management) helped adding 21 points. At the losing side the former international guard Stjepan Stazic (199-78) responded with 31 points and 6 assists and American-Bahamas forward Jonathan Fairell (201-93, college: Murray St., agency: Duran International) produced a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds. Four Vienna players scored in double figures. Arkadia Lions moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Klosterneuburg. Vienna at the other side dropped to the fourth position with nine games lost. Arkadia Lions is looking forward to face league's second-placed Furstenfeld Panthers on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Vienna will play against Dukes and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
