Everything went according to plan when fifth ranked Ortona (10-4) outleveled at home 8th ranked Giulianova (7-8) 77-47 on Sunday. Ortona dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Giulianova's 20. Ortona forced 24 Giulianova turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was center Arcangelo Leo (203-81) who scored 23 points and 6 rebounds. Point guard Fabrizio Gialloreto (185-87) chipped in 14 points and 6 assists. Four Ortona players scored in double figures. Forward Rudy Diener (202-80) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds and swingman Simone De Angelis (201-86) added 11 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests. Ortona moved-up to fourth place in B, which they share with Crema. Loser Giulianova keeps the eighth position with eight games lost. Ortona will face league's leader Montegrano in Montenegrano in the next round and it may be the game of the week.
