Very expected game when 12th ranked Rimini (5-9) was defeated on the road by seventh ranked Monsummano (8-6) 99-81 on Sunday. Monsummano forced 21 Rimini turnovers. Rimini was plagued by 30 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was forward Gabriele Giarelli (197-93) who had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds. Power forward Giorgio Sgobba (202-92) chipped in 20 points and 6 rebounds. Five Monsummano players scored in double figures. Monsummano's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
