Regular Season Round 15: FC Barcelona II - Palma 70-73

Important game to mention about took place in Barcelona. Third ranked Palma (10-5) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging 7th ranked FC Barcelona II (8-7) 73-70 on Wednesday evening. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But FC Barcelona II won fourth quarter 20-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great evening for the former international power forward Ricardo Guillen (207-76, agency: Duran International) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. Point guard Mikel Uriz (182-89) helped adding 12 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Palma players scored in double figures. Palma's coach Angel Cepeda allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. The best for the losing side was Marc Garcia (199-96, agency: Octagon Europe) with 28 points and 6 rebounds and Czech Lubos Barton (202-80, college: Valparaiso) scored 11 points and 9 rebounds. Palma maintains third place with 10-5 record having just three points less than leader Palencia. Newly promoted FC Barcelona II dropped to the sixth position with seven games lost. They share it with Penas Huesca and Castello. Palma will play against Planasa NV (#12) in Pamplona in the next round and are hoping to win another game. FC Barcelona II will play at home against Burgos (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
