Regular Season Round 24: Xinjiang FT - Fujian QB 122-88

Leader Xinjiang Flying Tige delivered the twenty first win on Wednesday night. This time they crushed 11th ranked Fujian (10-14) 122-88 in Urumqi. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Fujian. The game was mostly controlled by Xinjiang Flying Tige. Fujian managed to win fourth quarter 24-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Xinjiang Flying Tige shot 61.8 percent from the field. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was American-Filipino power forward Andray Blatche (211-86) who had a double-double by scoring 26 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. American guard Andrew Goudelock (190-88, college: Charleston) chipped in 28 points. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Jeremy Tyler (208-91, college: Louisville) who recorded 25 points and 6 rebounds and his fellow American import point guard Dwight Buycks (191-89, college: Marquette) added 18 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Xinjiang Flying Tige (21-3) have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain first position. Fujian at the other side dropped to the twelfth place with 14 games lost. They share the position with Jiangsu D. and Jiangsu TX. Xinjiang Flying Tige are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Foshan (#20) at home in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Fujian will play against Jilin Tigers (#17) in Changchun and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
