Regular Season Round 22: Svitavy - BK Decin 49-93

Leader BK Decin delivered the eighteenth victory. This time they crushed 7th ranked Basketbal Svitavy (8-12) 93-49. The game without a history. BK Decin led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Basketbal Svitavy's 26. BK Decin forced 20 Basketbal Svitavy turnovers and outrebounded them 45-27 including a 19-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international forward Tomas Pomikalek (200-89) who helped to win the game recording 14 points and 5 rebounds. Forward Jiri Jelinek (203-87) contributed with 13 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. American power forward Nicchaeus Doaks (201-87, college: Chattanooga, agency: HMS) replied with 13 points and 9 rebounds and Jan Spacek (195-89) added 9 points and 6 assists in the effort for Basketbal Svitavy. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. BK Decin (18-2) have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain first position. Basketbal Svitavy at the other side keeps the seventh place with 12 games lost. They share the position with Usti n/Labem. BK Decin will play against BK Kolin (#6) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Basketbal Svitavy will play against BK Lions Hradec and hopes to get back on the winning track.
