Regular Season Round 15: Roma E-basket - Fondi 87-78

Serie B top team - Roma E-basket (13-1) managed to deliver another win on Saturday. This time they beat fourteenth ranked Fondi (2-13) 87-78. It was a quality performance for naturalized Argentinian center Marcelo Dip (205-84, agency: Players Group) who led the winners and scored 21 points and 9 rebounds. Point guard Eugenio Fanti (184-91) accounted for 12 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals for the winning side. Giuseppe Romano (195-73, college: Cleveland St.) came up with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Antonello Lilliu (182-82) added 23 points respectively for Fondi in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Roma E-basket maintains first place in B with 13-1 record. Fondi at the other side dropped to the fifteenth position with 13 games lost. They share it with Moncalieri. Roma E-basket will meet at home Catanzaro (#7) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Fondi will play against Palestrina (#4) in Roma and hope to secure a win.
