There was an upset when higher ranked Milano Urania (9-5) was edged at home by ninth ranked Desio (8-7) 75-73 on Saturday. They made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. It was a good game for guard Alessandro Corno (193-92) who led his team to a victory with 17 points. Center Filippo Politi (205-80) contributed with 17 points for the winners. Naturalized Montenegrin guard Dusan Stijepovic (193-88) answered with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 15 rebounds and the former international forward Andrea Paleari (202-81) added 19 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Milano Urania. Four Milano Urania players scored in double figures. Desio have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to seventh place in B, which they share with Vicenza. Loser Milano Urania keeps the fifth position with five games lost. Desio will face higher ranked Bergamo (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Milano Urania will play against Volpino and hope to win that game.
