Regular Season Round 12: Koroivos - PAOK 65-75

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 5th ranked Koroivos (6-6) was defeated at home by sixth ranked PAOK (6-6) 75-65 on Sunday. Koroivos was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. The best player for the winners was Serbian guard Milenko Tepic (202-87, agency: Beo Basket) who scored 16 points and 7 rebounds. American point guard Wiliam Hatcher (188-84, college: Miami, OH) chipped in 14 points and 6 assists. Four PAOK players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American center Darrell Harris (205-84, college: Rhode Island) who recorded a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds and the former international forward Panagiotis Vasilopoulos (202-84) added 6 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists respectively. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. PAOK have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with defeated Koroivos. PAOK will meet at home bottom-ranked Kavala (#14) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Koroivos will play against Lavrio (#13) and hope to secure a win.
