Regular Season Round 13: LKS Lodz - Tur Bielsk Pdl. 102-79

Everything went according to plan when fourth ranked LKS Lodz (9-4) outscored at home 9th ranked Tur Bielsk Pdl. (4-9) 102-79 on Sunday. LKS Lodz shot 60.3 percent from the field. LKS Lodz outrebounded Tur Bielsk Pdl. 39-24 including a 28-11 advantage in defensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 52.0 percentage. LKS Lodz looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Forward Bartlomiej Bartoszewicz (199-92) stepped up and scored 19 points and 9 rebounds for the winners and Jacek Gwardecki (199-94) chipped in 22 points (perfect behind the arc making all six shots !!!). At the losing side forward Lukasz Kuczynski (194-85) responded with 35 points (!!!) and 9 steals and Arkadiusz Zabielski (197-84) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points, 11 rebounds and 8 assists. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. LKS Lodz moved-up to second place in Group B, which they share with AZS UMCS. Newly promoted Tur Bielsk Pdl. keeps the ninth position with nine games lost. LKS Lodz will face AZS UMCS (#3) in Lublin in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Tur Bielsk Pdl. will play at home against Start Lublin II (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
