There was no surprise when 13th ranked Taranto (4-11) lost on the road to fourth ranked Falconara (11-4) 89-72 on Sunday. Falconara shot 23 for 32 from the free-throw line, while Taranto only scored three points from the stripe. Falconara had a 27-15 advantage in offensive rebounds. Taranto was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for guard Filippo Alessandri (190-89) who led his team to a victory with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. The former international guard Gennaro Tessitore (193-82) contributed with 20 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Falconara players scored in double figures. Falconara's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Center Luca Malfatti (202-90) answered with 26 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Roberto Maggio (183-90) added 11 points and 9 assists in the effort for Taranto.
