Very significant was Cento's (#6) just 3-point road victory against one of their biggest challengers Santarcangelo in B. They dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Santarcangelo's 22. The winners were led by Luca Fontecchio (202-91, agency: Players Group) who scored that evening 17 points and 8 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws) and forward Davide Andreaus (202-86) supported him with 8 points and 13 rebounds. Even 20 points and 7 rebounds by San Marino swingman Gioele Moretti (191-93) did not help to save the game for Santarcangelo. Point guard Luca Pesaresi (180-89) added 13 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for lost side. Four Santarcangelo players scored in double figures. Cento (11-5) moved-up to fourth place in B, which they share with Crema. Newly promoted Santarcangelo dropped to the fifth position with six games lost. Cento will play against Monsummano (#6) at home in the next round. Santarcangelo will play against Oleggio and hopes to get back on the winning track.
