Not a big story in a game in Roma where 15th ranked Fondi (2-14) was defeated by fourth ranked Palestrina (12-4) 91-79 on Wednesday. Palestrina made 24-of-28 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. Fondi was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Gianmarco Rossi (182-90) who helped to win the game recording 30 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and Matteo Pierangeli (201-92) who added 27 points and 9 rebounds during the contest (made all of his fifteen free throws !!!). At the losing side point guard Antonello Lilliu (182-82) responded with 28 points and Giuseppe Romano (195-73, college: Cleveland St.) scored 16 points and 8 rebounds. Palestrina moved-up to third place in B. Loser Fondi keeps the fifteenth position with 14 games lost. Palestrina will face Cassino (#6) on the road in the next round. Fondi will play against Viterbo SA (#10) and hope to win that game.
