Regular Season Round 15: Basket Kosice - Kara Trutnov 76-84

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 8th ranked Basket Kosice (4-11) was defeated at home by ninth ranked Kara Trutnov (4-10) 84-76. Kara Trutnov players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. It was an exceptional evening for center Jakub Kasa (200-92) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 12 rebounds. Point guard Ladislav Maly (181-84) accounted for 19 points and 4 assists for the winning side. Slovakian forward Miroslav Vansa (197-87) came up with 19 points and 6 rebounds and guard Marek Burian (196-90) added 19 points respectively for Basket Kosice in the defeat. Four Basket Kosice players scored in double figures. Kara Trutnov moved-up to eighth place in Group A. Basket Kosice lost their fifth game in a row. Newly promoted team dropped to the ninth position with 11 games lost. Kara Trutnov's next round opponent will be league's leader Sokol Prazky in Praha and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Basket Kosice will play on the road against Nymburk B (#4) and hope to win that game.
