Regular Season Round 28: Shanxi Zh. - Bayi R. 95-67

The game between thirteenth ranked Shanxi Zhongyu (12-16) and 17th ranked Bayi Rockets (7-21) in Taiyuan ended with biggest points difference. Shanxi Zhongyu outscored guests from Ningbo 95-67. The game without a history. Shanxi Zhongyu led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 26-of-34 charity shots (76.5 percent) during the game. Shanxi Zhongyu forced 24 Bayi Rockets turnovers. They brought some defensive toughness making 12 blocks. Bayi Rockets were plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a quality performance of American Jamaal Franklin (196-91, college: San Diego St.) who helped to win the game recording 23 points, 9 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals and forward ZhaoBao Ge (212-92) who added 24 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. Four Shanxi Zhongyu players scored in double figures. Shanxi Zhongyu's coach Xujin Zhe felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side center Hao Fu (206-98) responded with 22 points and 8 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws) (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and the former international forward Yan Cao (196-91) scored 18 points. Shanxi Zhongyu have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to eleventh place. Bayi Rockets at the other side keep the seventeenth position with 21 games lost. They share it with Jilin NE T.. Shanxi Zhongyu will play against Jilin Tigers (#18) in Changchun in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Bayi Rockets will play on the road against the league's second-placed Xinjiang Flying Tige having rather not much hope for a victory.
