Everything went according to plan in Ostrava where eighth ranked Havirov (6-9) won against 10th ranked VK VSB Ost. (3-12) 81-66. It was an exceptional evening for guard Jan Lycka (186-93) who led the winners and scored 24 points and 4 assists. Center Jiri Stepanek (201) accounted for 20 points for the winning side. Four Havirov players scored in double figures. Jan Leczo (197-96) came up with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 11 rebounds and guard Vojtech Jancik (181) added 9 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for VK VSB Ost. in the defeat. Havirov moved-up to seventh place in Group B, which they share with Vysocina. VK VSB Ost. lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the tenth position with 12 games lost. Havirov's next round opponent will be league's second-placed B&W Opava B at home and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. VK VSB Ost. will play against Pardubice (#6) and hope to win that game.
