Regular Season Round 16: CFBB - Berck 69-84
Date: January 8, 2016
Bottom-ranked CFBB (0-16) is still winless. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 16th consecutive match to fourteenth ranked Berck (7-8) 84-69. The game was mostly controlled by Berck. CFBB was better in second period 22-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Berck forced 21 CFBB turnovers. The winners were led by Kevin Mondesir (204-91) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds and American power forward Ron Anderson (205-89, college: S.Florida, agency: Octagon Europe) supported him with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Four Berck players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 21 points and 12 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) by the former international center Vincent Poirier (210-93, agency: Comsport) did not help to save the game for CFBB. Swingman Sekou Omar Doumbouya (199-0) added 15 points and 5 rebounds for lost side. CFBB's coach Jean-Aime Toupane rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Berck moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Mulhouse and Challans. CFBB at the other side still closes the standings. Berck will play against Mulhouse Basket (#12) at home in the next round. CFBB will play against Angers BC (#8) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
