Regular Season Round 24: BK Decin - MMCITE Brno 90-83

Not a big story in a game when 12th ranked MMCITE Brno (4-17) was defeated on the road by first ranked BK Decin (20-2) 90-83 on Saturday. MMCITE Brno trailed by 12 points after 3 quarters before a 25-20 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 83-90 at the end of the game. BK Decin made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international Jakub Houska (207-82) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and international guard Tomas Vyoral (190-92) who added 14 points and 6 assists during the contest. Four BK Decin players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American guard Anthony Jones (191-84, college: Indiana Tech) with 23 points and his fellow American import center Paul Egwuonwu (206-91, college: Montana St.) scored 14 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. BK Decin have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 20-2 record. MMCITE Brno lost sixth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with 17 games lost. BK Decin will have a break next round. MMCITE Brno will play at home against BK Lions Hradec (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
