There was a minor upset when 7th ranked Telsiai (12-13) lost to ninth ranked Nafta-Uni. (11-13) in Klaipeda 54-67 on Saturday. Nafta-Uni. had a 35-24 advantage in offensive rebounds. The winners were led by forward Raidas Nacius (196-91) who scored that evening 19 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Laurynas Beliauskas (189-97, agency: Beo Basket) supported him with 13 points. Even 18 points by forward Ovidijus Kaminskas (195-91) did not help to save the game for Telsiai. Guard Laurynas Kaveckis (190-90) added 11 points and 5 rebounds. Nafta-Uni. have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain ninth position with 11-13 record, which they share with Silute. Newly promoted Telsiai keeps the seventh place with 13 games lost. They share the position with Petrochema. Nafta-Uni. will meet Ezerunas-Karys (#13) in the next round. Telsiai will play against Delikatesas (#11) and hope to secure a win.
