There was no surprise in Thessaloniki where 9th ranked Ippokratis (2-8) was crushed by seventh ranked PAOK (5-5) 82-62. PAOK forced 20 Ippokratis turnovers and outrebounded them 39-25 including 27 on the defensive glass. Guard Dimitra Telidou (170-80) notched 14 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the effort and the former international guard Nafsika Stavridou (182-86) supported her with 17 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). PAOK's coach Vassilis Maslarinos allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even a double-double of 17 points and 13 rebounds by American swingman Korinne Campbell (184-88, college: W.Virginia) did not help to save the game for Ippokratis. The former international guard Thaleia Kasapoglou (173-84) added 15 points for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. PAOK moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Ippokratis lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with eight games lost. PAOK's next round opponent will be Terpsithea (#8) in Glyfadas. Ippokratis will play at home against Proteas and hope to win that game.
