Very predictable result when second ranked Sichuan BW (24-5) defeated on the road bottom-ranked Foshan (3-26) 117-104 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 12-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 117-104. Sichuan BW made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. Sichuan BW outrebounded Foshan 53-32 including a 22-11 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American Mike Harris (198-83, college: Rice) who had a double-double by scoring 26 points and 19 rebounds. His fellow American import point guard Justin Dentmon (183-85, college: Washington) chipped in 32 points and 5 assists. American forward Jerrelle Benimon (203-91, college: Towson) produced a double-double by scoring 28 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and swingman Mingxin Ju (200-93) added 22 points respectively for the hosts. Five Sichuan BW and four Foshan players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the eleventh consecutive win for Sichuan BW. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Xinjiang FT. Foshan lost their sixteenth game in a row. They stay dead last with 26 lost games. Sichuan BW will meet at home Liaoning Hunters (#4) in the next round. Foshan will play against North Control (#16) in Beijing and hope to secure a win.
