Regular Season Round 15: Sokol Prazky - Sokol Pisek 69-67

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Sokol Prazky as it allowed them to take a leadership position in Group A. Sokol Prazky edged 5th ranked Sokol Pisek in Praha 69-67. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Sokol Pisek. They outrebounded Sokol Pisek 53-38 including 19 on the offensive glass. 26 personal fouls committed by Sokol Pisek helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was center Jan Stepanek (190-83) who scored 18 points. Power forward Jakub Tomas (200-80) chipped in 15 points and 5 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was swingman Petr Slechta (192-95) who recorded 23 points and 7 rebounds and forward Milan Spicak (198-90) added 10 points respectively. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Sokol Prazky (11-3) have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Newly promoted Sokol Pisek keeps the fifth place with seven games lost. They share the position with Loko Plzen. Sokol Pisek will play next round against strong Slavoj BK Litomerice trying to get back on the winning streak. Sokol Prazky will try to continue on its current victory against eighth ranked Kara Trutnov on the road.
