Regular Season Round 15: Slavoj Litom. - GBA Sparta 83-65

There was no surprise when 7th ranked Sparta Praha (7-8) was defeated on the road by fourth ranked Slavoj BK Litomerice (9-6) 83-65. Slavoj BK Litomerice forced 25 Sparta Praha turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Sparta Praha's players. It was an exceptional evening for center Martin Klimes (203-83, college: Vermont) who led the winners and scored 16 points and 4 assists. Point guard Michal Sotnar (187-92) accounted for 9 points and 6 assists for the winning side. Four Slavoj BK Litomerice players scored in double figures. Slovakian forward Matej Drgon (195-98) came up with 15 points and 5 rebounds and guard Lukas Vilkovski (192-96) added 12 points and 4 steals respectively for Sparta Praha in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Slavoj BK Litomerice moved-up to third place in Group A, which they share with Nymburk B. Sparta Praha lost their third game in a row. They keep the seventh position with eight games lost. Slavoj BK Litomerice's next round opponent will be Sokol Pisek (#5) on the road. Sparta Praha's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Praha USK Praha B.
