Regular Season Round 16: BLK Praha - Kara Trutnov 61-66

The biggest surprise of round 16 was guest Kara Trutnov's (10-5) road victory over one of their biggest challengers BLK Praha (9-6) 66-61 on Saturday evening. Kara Trutnov made 17-of-20 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 BLK Praha turnovers. American forward Emily Cady (188-93, college: Nebraska) fired 10 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. The other American import guard Jamie Russell (173-90, college: Illinois St.) chipped in 16 points and 4 steals. American guard Ka'Lia Johnson (178-93, college: Duke) produced a double-double by scoring 21 points and 14 rebounds and international point guard Katerina Bartonova (174-90) added 11 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Four BLK Praha players scored in double figures. Kara Trutnov moved-up to third place, which they share with Valosun Brno. BLK Praha lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fifth position with six games lost. Kara Trutnov is looking forward to face bottom-ranked Strakonice (#12) in Strakonice in the next round and are hoping to win another game. BLK Praha will play on the road against the league's leader Basketball Nymburk (#1) and is hoping to win this game.
