Very important is a home loss of Guantanamo (1-1) against Camaguey (1-1) on Saturday night. Host Guantanamo was defeated by Camaguey in 72-60. Camaguey forced 21 Guantanamo turnovers. Yoanqui Mersia scored 19 points and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Salvadorean Yordanis Jaca chipped in 13 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Four Camaguey players scored in double figures. The former international swingman Yoannis Soria (195-86) responded with 16 points and 7 rebounds and guard Ernesto Rauseaux (192-91) scored 10 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Camaguey will play against Santiago in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Guantanamo will play against Villa Clara to get more than just one victory in their record.
