Regular Season Round 19: MBK Ruzomb. - Good Angels 47-75

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Ruzomberok. Leader Good Angels faced their biggest opponent MBK Ruzomberok. Guests from Kosice (18-0) smashed host MBK Ruzomberok (15-5) 75-47. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of MBK Ruzomberok. The game without a history. Good Angels led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding MBK Ruzomberok to just 7 points in second and fourth quarters. 26 personal fouls committed by MBK Ruzomberok helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Slovenian point guard Teja Oblak (172-90) fired 17 points for the winners. The former international center Anna Jurcenkova (195-85) chipped in 14 points and 8 rebounds. Four Good Angels players scored in double figures. The former international point guard Zuzana Lazarova (168-87) produced 11 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and international center Eva Kmetova (188-87, agency: Regeneracom Sports) added 8 points respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Good Angels have an impressive series of sixteen victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 18-0 record. MBK Ruzomberok at the other side dropped to the third position with five games lost. Good Angels are looking forward to face league's second-placed Piestanske C. in Piestany in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. MBK Ruzomberok will play on the road against Banska Bystrica and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
