Regular Season Round 16: Sokol Slapnice - Vysocina 72-96

Rather predictable result when seventh ranked Vysocina (7-9) rolled over on the road 9th ranked Sokol Slapnice (3-11) 96-72 on Sunday. They outrebounded Sokol Slapnice 43-30 including 18 on the offensive glass. Vysocina shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 51.9 percentage. Quite impressive performance for Jiri Soula (185-95) who helped to win the game recording 28 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Center Pavel Ciha (201-92) contributed with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 18 rebounds for the winners. Four Vysocina players scored in double figures. Vysocina's coach Petr Pesout felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Zdenek Sebela (192-87) replied with 17 points and 5 rebounds and swingman Ivo Pavlicik (193-93) added 19 points in the effort for Sokol Slapnice. Vysocina maintains seventh position in Group B with 7-9 record. Sokol Slapnice lost eighth consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with 11 games lost. Vysocina will face higher ranked SKB Zlin (#6) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Sokol Slapnice will play against VK VSB Ost. in Ostrava and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
