Everything went according to plan when first ranked Roma E-basket (16-1) won against on the road 5th ranked Scafati Cesarano (11-6) 88-71 on Sunday. Roma E-basket made 26-of-32 free shots (81.3 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was naturalized Argentinian point guard Nicolas Stanic (180-84, agency: Players Group) who scored 19 points (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). The former international swingman Alex Righetti (198-77, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 13 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Roma E-basket players scored in double figures. Naturalized Croatian forward Marko Mlinar (200-83) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 16 rebounds and guard Ernesto Carrichiello (195-84) added 22 points respectively for the hosts. The victory was the eighth consecutive win for Roma E-basket. They maintain first place with 16-1 record, which they share with Forli and Udine APU. Newly promoted Scafati Cesarano keeps the fifth position with six games lost. Roma E-basket will face Isernia (#13) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Scafati Cesarano will play against Empoli (#9) and hope to win that game.
